Challenge

Extend existing session, socket, and job foundations with idempotent ingestion and concurrency-safe gameplay without implying broad frontend ownership.

Solution

Built the newer ingestion, calibration, game lifecycle, Redis timer, analytics, notification, and cross-module account-consistency behavior.

Architecture

REST and Socket.IO share ingestion and lifecycle services; MongoDB persists durable shot/game state while Redis manages live timing and Agenda finalizes scheduled windows.

Contribution highlights

The engineering work behind the product.

  • Built a unified idempotent REST and Socket.IO ingestion pipeline for detailed wearable shots, batches, validation, persistence, and retry reconciliation.
  • Designed the five-shot Golden Template calibration system with user-owned snapshots, baselines, comparison, accuracy, and fatigue values.
  • Built and refactored King of the Court assignment, authorization, shot limits, forfeits, draws, game windows, and idempotent completion.
  • Introduced Redis-backed session/game timers and live metrics with pause/resume, TTLs, active-state APIs, degradation, and startup recovery.
  • Unified Agenda expiration with the interactive lifecycle service and extended Firebase/FCM and Socket.IO notifications with deep-link context.
  • Expanded models, analytics, mobile responses, account-disable/delete consistency, ownership checks, modular services, and targeted tests.
